Action Plans

CMP Group processing plants are located in Taiwan, Suzhou, and Tianjin. The GHG inventory is conducted based on ISO 14064-1 standards. In 2023, the total annual GHG emission amount was 200,128 metric tons CO2e, Scope 1emission equivalent to approximately 3,494 metric tons CO2e, and Scope 2 emission equivalent to approximately 196,634 metric tons of CO2e. The total GHG emissions intensity in 2023 decreased by 33.33% compared with the baseline year of 2015.

With the joint efforts with suppliers and research institutes, we recycle waste, and turn them into raw materials for low-strength cement and landscaping permeable bricks for further use in another industry. Cross-industry waste reuse not only strengthens industrial symbiosis but also adds new value to the waste. In 2023, Non-hazardous waste totaled 89,412 tons and hazardous waste totaled 309 tons. The recovery rate of nonhazardous waste was 70.99% with a reuse rate of 28.83%. The rate of non-recoverable and non-reusable waste declined to 0.18%.

We still conduct three strategies of our water resources management: Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling. Moreover, we have established an inspection system and an operation maintenance management system to better control water consumption in the factory and promote water conservation policies through regular inceptions, project optimization of the manufacturing process, self-management, and proposals for improvement. Water consumption in 2023 will be 478.77 million liters, a decrease of 1.10% compared to 2022.
